German presenter Lola Weippert shared with her followers that she is back after being hospitalized for three weeks with meningitis.

The 29-year-old posted on Instagram that she had to step away due to a forced break caused by the illness: “I’m back after 3 weeks of forced pause. I was in the hospital with meningitis, because meningitis can be fatal,” she wrote.

Serious illness and medical warning

In her account, Weippert highlighted the severity of meningitis. According to her, the doctor told her that a patient diagnosed at 11 a.m. had died just two hours later. “Consequently, I had to hit the brakes quickly and cancel everything,” she explained.

The presenter took the opportunity to thank the hospital staff for the care she received and said she is now recovered: “I took enough time to fully recover and now I feel ready to start running with you again.”

Two weeks earlier, she had already updated fans directly from the hospital, joking that she had imagined her summer vacation a little differently.
